Valentine’s Day Slime
Kids love slime. Period. And this is totally true when it comes to this Valentine’s Day Slime. Sharing this sweetheart slime with the kids is a fun way to get them a bit of manageable messy play while also teaching them the science behind the slime, too.
So many kids think that slime just “happens” but it’s fun to break it down and talk to them about how this Valentine Slime recipe is actually created. This will teach them that there is a process and directions that have to be carefully followed for this glitter slime recipe to come to fruition.
If you’re looking for a really fun Valentine’s Day activity for the kids that will give them some great information and hands-on learning, the kids are going to love this Valentine’s Day Science Experiment because once they get done with it, they’ll have their very own glitter slime recipe to keep!
Valentine’s Day Science Experiment
Introducing directional reading and hands-on learning with your kids is always a good idea. This is just one of the many reasons that I love this Valentine Slime activity.
And every time I tell the students that we’re going to make slime, you can only imagine the shouts of joy that erupt immediately. They LOVE making slime and I love teaching them how the ingredients react to make the slime form properly.
If you’re looking for a science activity that is great for grades 1st-6th, you just can’t go wrong with this. (and even though this is geared towards Valentine’s Day, you can literally use this at any time of the year)
Teacher Tip: This makes a great Valentine’s Day classroom party activity!
How to Use This Valentine’s Day Slime Recipe
This slime recipe is really a lot like any slime recipe but there is a difference. Not only are you going to get the directions on how to make the slime, but you’ll also be teaching your students the scientific method and how to think about slime being made, how to form their own hypothesis on the outcome, and think outside the box on changes that could possibly happen that might still work.
