What I find to be great about this writing activity is that the children can use their fine motor skills like cutting, coloring, and then using their research skills to gather information and facts. 

Presidents are not only interesting, but there are many of them to choose from to learn about as well! The kids will even get to pick their favorite President and write about why they feel that way. 

Adding this to your Presidents Day kindergarten lesson planning gives the students the chance to learn more about our past and current Presidents and really dig deep about why they think that they’ve done a good job while they’re in office.
