Free Autism Resource for Kids – Temple Grandin
April 2nd is one of my favorite days to spread awareness about Autism. One of my favorite books to read is The Girl Who Thought in Pictures: The Story of Dr. Temple Grandin.
The book is about Temple Grandin, a girl who was diagnosed with Autism at a young age. Temple learns that she is “different, not less”. She went on in her life to do some pretty amazing things! It’s a great story to teach children about how our differences can help us be successful!

To help my students engage with the book and understand how being different is special, I created this one page flip flap for students to work on together!
These flip flaps are a favorite in my classroom, and I love that they are printed double sided so you only need one sheet of paper per student. They are super easy to quickly fold and cut as a class!
If you’d like to try out this Autism resource with your students you can grab a FREE copy HERE!
If you end up using this resource, I’d love to see it in action. Be sure to tag me on Instagram @thesprinkletoppedteacher! I also have flip flaps for every month of the year! Click to grab the Flip Flap Bundle and save!
