One of my top priorities as a teacher is making sure anything on our classroom walls can be used as a resource for students!

Throwing up lots of material on your walls just for the sake of decorating can actually distract young minds from what you’re teaching them, so making sure your decorations have educational value is also important.

As teachers, we know that we often have to go out of our way to go the extra mile in our classrooms. I typically spend a good amount of time decorating the classroom itself, so the last thing I want to do is spend even more time making the decorations myself. Creating a welcoming classroom environment shouldn’t have to take up tons of our time or money!

You could simply print the posters on your favorite colorful paper and hang them up as desired in your classroom before the kids arrive for the first day of school. Since they are simple and easy to read, they won’t detract from any other decorations in your room.

To make them last through the years, I’d recommend laminating the posters so that you can store them for the summer without worrying about them getting messed up or the colors fading.
