Student Gift Tag Printables (free!)
Hey teachers! If you are looking for a great and easy gift for the end of the school year, look no further. And of course, as the Sprinkle Topped Teacher, I had to put a “sweet” spin on these gift tag printables (free!)!
At the end of the school year, I always look forward to giving my students something extra special to remember our class by. However, even though the school year is ending, I still want the gift to be an easy option. There are always tons of strings to tie up at the end of the school year. I would rather choose an easy gift option than staying up late to scroll through Pinterest, and I know I can’t be alone on that!
Most of all, I want the students to enjoy their gift and end the school year with smiles all around. Hint hint: the solution to that is almost always candy! (I know that’s the way to win me over, anyhow!) It doesn’t have to be a huge candy bar — parents might not appreciate that — but just a little bit will leave a sweet impression on your students. Hello, best teacher ever award!
These gifts don’t have to be just for the end of the year. You can give them away at any milestone where you want to celebrate your amazing students. It is easy for classrooms to fall in a pattern of all learning and no fun. Give your students something a little extra special to raise their spirits and bring the fun and excitement back to the classroom!
With all of that in mind, I created a special chocolate-themed, gift tag freebie for all you teachers. Download these gift tag printables free — just provide the candy and, optionally, the book! All you have to do is enter your email and first name, and it will automatically redirect you to a page where you can download your free teacher gift tags.
Plus, you’ll be added to my email list designed for all things teachers. Expect amazing resources, ideas, and hacks delivered straight to your inbox. And yes, I promise not to spam you!
What’s the best gift to give to students?
Honestly, your students will be appreciative of anything you give them. In my opinion, the best gifts that are a hit for students and parents are the ones that come with a candy treat for them, plus an activity to satisfy their parents (and you, their teacher!).
A great gift for students has to be an easy option for teachers, too! My free gift tags are the easiest way to make everyone happy. They are completely free to download, and all you need is a trip to the store to finish them off with some candy. It is totally optional to include “The Chocolate Touch” by Patrick Skene Catling, but I personally love the combination. It gives them a great reading activity to keep their minds busy and their parents happy!
How do you use these free teacher gift tags?
After you download these free gift tags, there are a few options to jazz them up before handing them out to your class:
- Tape them to chocolate or candy — I like to use fun-size Hershey bars!
- Give them away with the book “The Chocolate Touch” by Patrick Skene Catling. You can typically get “The Chocolate Touch” from Scholastic for a dollar. It follows the escapades of John Midas, who gets the blessing (and the curse) of the chocolate touch — everything his lips touch turns to chocolate! It has a great lesson for kids at the end, and it is the perfect accompaniment to a chocolate treat and these great chocolate-themed gift tags.
- Inside the cover of the book, I write a special note to each student about why I loved sharing our classroom together. It’s a fun keepsake they can hold onto!
- Why not both? Include a chocolate candy AND “The Chocolate Touch” with your gift. They will get some summer reading done, and a treat to sweeten the deal!
These gift tag printables (free!) are also easily customizable. Just pull up the document, click the textbox on page one, and enter your name so your students can remember you over the summer! Or, you can use page two if you prefer not to edit the name.
Conclusion
Finding the perfect end of the year gift doesn’t have to be a pain with my free gift tags. Just print, add your candy (and “The Chocolate Touch” if you would like), and you are ready to hand out a memorable gift! I recommend including both so they get some valuable reading in, even while they are out of school. Plus, the story is super cute and entertaining for little ones! With these free teacher gift tags, you are guaranteed to have the best end of year gift in school.
