Classroom Tour

Hey there friends!  I figured what better way to introduce myself than through a tour of where I spend my days.  I started off with a polka dot theme a couple years ago, and in an effort to spice it up without purchasing all new decorations, I’ve added green and ladybugs!
Welcome to Room 12!
Can you say comfy reading chair? I love this chair from Ikea. It’s perfect for sitting criss-cross applesauce, surrounded by my kiddos on their carpet, and reading a story.
My carpet is my favorite piece of the room! It’s absolutely HUGE and fits 30+ little ones comfortably.
Here’s a sneak peak at our bulletin boards! I added double borders this year and love how it came out!  I grabbed the decorative circles from Michael’s and I hot glued little ladybugs on top.
My desk was inspired by Schroeder Shenanigans. I just printer out the font SUPER sized and used washi tape for the border
Brag tags are rocking my behavior management world this year (inspired by Lucky Little Learners).
We use calendar as a daily spiral review! The kids run the show each morning while I observe.
To the left are my center activity bins. Any games are stored in a bin by standard.
My library is a polka dot paradise. This year I added crate seats to store all of our stuffed animal reading buddies!
Above my board I have our schedule and story elements posted for everyday use.
I use Learning in Wonderland’s editable labels for the caddy from Target and kept with that theme for filing away resources into the white Ikea boxes.
Last but not least, I wanted to share how I group my 2nd grad rock stars.  One set of partners has high students grouped with struggling students. The other has them in groups by matching ability levels.
I hope you enjoyed your mini tour of my room!
