Fall Activities for 2nd Grade

Summer is finally here, and I know that teachers everywhere are celebrating a well-deserved break from the classroom! 

At the end of the school year, it’s always emotional to say goodbyes. Even so, the warmer months also signify our time to rest up, rejuvenate, and prepare for a whole new year of fun with a new bunch of students!

I know I can’t be the only one who starts to plan their activities for the year ahead well before the summer clock runs out and school begins again. Once the end of summer draws near, I’m more than ready to get back into the classroom and meet my new students. Those first introductions are always so fun, and the anticipation of the year ahead is like no other!

One of the first things I start to plan for the new school year are my fall activities. I just love the fall season and the amount of themed activities that go along with it. Incorporating themed activities is a favorite of mine, especially for younger learners. It’s a great way for them to track their progression through the year and celebrate the seasons.

My go-to fall themes include Thanksgiving, Halloween, and all of the fall harvest vibes. Think autumnal leaves, pumpkins, and candy corn galore! Over the years, I’ve collected and created quite the stash of fall activities that I like to break out every year.
